Hello, I'm Lucy. I'm a fully qualified counsellor and clinical supervisor with over 10 years' post-qualifying experience, based on the Isle of Man. I am a registered member of the British Association
for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an accredited registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
Before relocating to the Isle of Man, I spent eight years working with survivors of sexual violence at a Rape Crisis England & Wales affiliated support centre in the UK. During my time
there I worked in a variety of roles including as an adult & children's counsellor, an independent advocate for child victims of sexual violence, a specialist Paediatric SARC (Sexual
Assault Referral Centre) counsellor and later as the adult counselling service team leader.
Since 2022 I have worked within the Manx Care Counselling & Therapies team providing counselling for adults and I offer a weekly therapy clinic at the Isle of Man Prison as part of this
role. I currently maintain my role at Manx Care alongside my private practice.
I also have a background of working within a hospice in the UK, leading and managing a support programme for bereaved children and young people, where I gained valuable experience of working
with grief & loss. Over the years I have worked with many clients who have ADHD, autism or another neurodivergence and have focused much of my own professional development in this area.
I believe that whatever the situation, however challenging life feels, there is always hope. We all deserve to live with good mental health, to feel comfortable with who we are and to have
a sense of purpose. I am committed to working with my clients to achieve lasting change.
